Bowman Woods PTO is a conduit between parents and educators. We collaborate throughout each year on free family events, teacher and staff appreciation activities, the annual fundraising campaign, redemption efforts and restaurant nights.

Our events need volunteer support to run smoothly.

How do I join PTO?
Good news! If your student goes to Bowman Woods, you are already a member! Join the PTO general meetings to get school updates from Principal Jay Lehman, voice your concerns, or share your ideas. You can also learn about and volunteer for PTO events. Click here to find the meeting schedule for the current year. Meetings are held in the evenings on the 2nd Tuesday of the month.

What if I want to do more?
Want to join the Executive Board and help lead PTO? Each May, officer elections are held to elect new members to the board. Each board member serves a one or two year term and helps keep PTO running smoothly.

How do I sign up to volunteer for PTO?
All volunteers need to first register with the Linn-Mar District and complete an orientation session.  Review the details at this link or contact Angela Burke with Linn-Mar Volunteers/Community Relations at 319-447-3110. Registered volunteers then sign up for PTO events online. Watch for emails from our BW Volunteer Coordinators with details. Anyone who would like to help with event planning can email the board at BowmanWoodsPTO@gmail.com.
